Aiwaaa! Ramadan na pala!
pero this time medyo maaga ang pagaayuno ng mga kapatid nating mga muslim...
ngayong araw na ito....nabago rin ang mga oras sa pagpasok sa opisina,
oras ng pagbukas ng mga restoran, cafeteria, turo turo, jueteng, pasa load, atbp...
less din ang traffic sa umaga, pati ang ihip ng hangin ay nag-iiba...masyadong mainit...
pag Ramadan dito sa middle east...ang lahat nag-iiba!
yung pagtulog mo sa gabi at syesta, bago na rin ang oras pagsundo ko kay misis ....
at ito ang pinaka...ang oras ng pagtsibog mo sa opisina at sa labas ng bahay...oo nga...!
bawal kumaiiinnn!
hindi ka pwedeng kumain sa work station mo...hindi ka pwedeng ngumuya ng tsiklet,
hindi ka pwedeng mag-ingay (bulong bulong lang), di ka pwedeng mag view ng sexy sa internet,
bawal din ang yosi, bawal ang maikli at revealing ang suot, bawal ang mag kiss, bawal ang mainit
ang ulo, bawal tumawa, bawal ang pangit, bawal ang sugal (patay ang sabong...) ang daming bawal!
at kung di ka na maka-tiis...pumunta ka sa toilet at dun ka kumain at dahan dahan lang ang
pag nguya at baka marinig ka ng mutawa (moslem police) at tiyak na huli ka, si jack nga (bayaw
ng bayaw ko)...hilong talilong na siya sa gutom ng bumili siya ng masafi (mineral water sa dubai)
at ng kanya na itong iinumin....napatingin siya sa katabi niya at ang sabi ay...."haram my friend,
no drink, no eat....ramadan" kaya ang kawawang jack ay naghanap na lang cr at duon lumaklak ng
masafi...
patotoo...totoo nga!
eto pa...dumating ako dito sa dubai noon ay ramadan (di ko alam ito...at wala namang nagsabi)
ala una ng hapon ng bumababa kami ng bldg....lungkot na lungkot ako noon (homesick ba)
at ang tingin ko sa buong kapaligiran ng dubai ay disyerto, nangingilid ang luha ko noon habang
iniisip ang mga mahal sa buhay....inangat ko ang aking kamay at dumukot sa kanang bulsa ng isang
yosi...itnayo ko ito (filter ay sa ilalim) at itinaktak ko ng 3 beses sa kaliwang hinlalaki ng aking
kaliwang kamay at sabay subo sa tuyo kong mga labi gamit ang kanang kamay, samantalang ang
kaliwang kamay naman ay dumukot uli ng lighter....at sa aktong sisindihan ko na ito habang
naniningkit ang mata ko dahil sa init ng apoy na papalapit sa yosi...kitang kita ko si allan na may
3 metro ang layo (slow motion effect)....huwaaaggg....ramaadaaannn...puliiissss katabi mooo!!!
....hindi po ako nakulong! pinagbawalan po ako mag yosi at nasa tapat pa ako ng mosque...
haaayyyzzz...buti na lang maagap si allan!

alas 10 ng umaga pagkatapos kong mag hatid kay misis....diretso ako ng Dubai Mall
dahil isang higop lang ng kape ang agahan ko kaya gutom na gutom akong
nagmamadali'tsabik na kumain ng mcdo breakfast.....
anak ng pusa!...patay ang ilaw ni ronald, wala pa ring tinapay ang subway,
tulog pa ang manok sa kfc at ang mga hapong turista lang ang maririnig mong nakikipag away
sa security ng The Top (ito po yung aakyat ka sa pinakamataas na building sa buong mundo)
dahil hindi pa sila pinapapasok.....
anak ng pusa talaga! ramadan na pala ngayon!

Kanina nasa Satwa ako...nag park ako sa harap ng Al Maya Supermarket...
Isa sa nakapukaw sa akin ay yung telephone booth ng Etisalat...
Naabutan ko doon ang isang kabayan na nagyo-yosi na nagkukubli sa
sikat ng araw katabi ang phone booth, maya maya pa'y pinatay nya
ang yosi sa ledge ng booth...hehehe...astig si kabayan.
Nag stay pa ako ng konti...after a few minutes...may isang kabayan
at isang indian na ang akala ko ay tatawag sa phone...sabay silang
naglabas ng papel at scotch tape at pagka tapos ay dinikitan ang
kawawang phone booth...habang nag-uusap na sa wari ko'y nagya-yabangan...
naka gift wrap ng ads na phone booth....merong humito at matagal siyang
paikot-ikot sa booth at iiling-iling at tatango-tango...sa tingin
ko naghahanap ito ng bedspace...

Dati rati ang telepono ng etisalat ay ginagamit natin to call somebody...
personally...nung bago ako sa Dubai...ginagamit ko ito halos oras-oras sa pagtawag sa pinas using etisalat card...(may design iyon at makapal ang plastic)...
ginagamit ko din itong landmark...kung may nagtanong sa akin
kung saan ako nakatira, ito agad ang sinasabi ko "sa tapat lang ako
ng phone booth"...
tambayan din namin ito habang naghihintay kami ng off-peak para maka-
tawag sa pinas lalo na't pasko at bagong taon...
sa pag-istambay dito...marami akong na witness sa phone booth...
- madalas dito yung mga ngiti ng mga callers, tumitirik ang mga mata
habang nakikipag-usap
- tulo ng luha at minsan ngawaaaaa dahil sa problemang di madamayan sa pilipinas
- minsan naman ay may nag tumbling sa tuwa nang malaman niyang Hired na siya
- away! nakikipag sigawan sa telepono at kadalasan pinupokpok ang kawawang
telepono at walang awang iniiwang naka hang ito....haayzzz
- ang isa pang exciting ay yung bumubulong...ayaw iparinig ang usapan...
halos lunokin ang telepono mai-secret lang ang call hahahaha!
- at ang pinaka da BEST ay ang love story nila Danny at Eloisa...(sa part 2 na ito)

TRIP KO SA METRO!
bago ako sumakay:
parking problem, mainit, malayo, mataas, mahaba,lamig aircon,
juice bar, atm, sekyu, police, kargahan ng nol card,
ibang lahi, pila, trip story board, banners, award,
pulis ulit, libreng dyaryo, babaing naka itim, lalaking
naka abito, mabangong kubeta, mabahong pana (amoy paa),
nagpaalam sa pulis, nagkodak ako, maraming pitik,
matarik na eskaleytor, kakalulang hagdan, mataas na kisame,
pader na metal, alingawngaw ng ispiker,nakakasilaw na araw,
lalaking nagbabasa, lalaking matangkad, arabong nagkokodakan,
robot na tren.
sa loob ng tren:
huling parte ng platform, otomatik na pinto,nice smell,
nakita ko si ares (di ko pinansin), upuang asul, bakanteng
upuan, sumara pinto, smooth na takbo
si kabayan sa tren ay:
natutulog, magjowang tulog dikit ulo, nagsasounds,
nagce-cellphone, malungkot, tsumi-chika, tulo laway,
tumitirik ang mata, ngumingiti, nagkodak gamit ang cp,

sa pagbaba ng tren:
pila ulit, lift (elevator), hagdanang mataas, pulis ulit,
sekyu ulit,mga tindahan, mahaba, malayo.

sa unang tingin ay parang mga ibang lahi lang ang mga

mas na thrill siya dito kaysa sa gaming center -juan"

Sometimes it is much better that you don't expect what will happen on the event....you don't have any clues...and suddenly you stuck on that moment and realizing that it is happening to you...the graces of our God...friends inspires you and giving hope thru their testimonies....and with guilt feelings you will tell HIM...Lord thanks for all the blessings, thanks for all the friends You used to help me..."

Visita Iglesia UAE 2011 (SIDE TRIPS)
SIDE TRIPS (trip trip lang sa gilid).
I just seperate this blog/vr photos from our visita Iglesia UAE 2011
to maintain the religious conservativeness of the activity.
Long Driving is a tiring activity but quite rewarding...
as a photographer...this is my activity, this is my kind of thing.
Before we knew that we are going to a long trip, I am preparing my gears for
my photoclub activity, but since this is for the Glory of our Lord....
seems that my preparation is for HIM.
DUBAI SIDE TRIP
AL GHUSAIS I
5:30am We fetch Bro .Allan Labrias for the start of visita iglesia at
St.Mary's Church Dubai.
OUD METHA ROAD
We are heading for Sharjah and a quick stop at Petrol Station at Oud Metha
infront of Al Wasl Hospital.
SHARJAH SIDE TRIP
After we park our car, i rushed ahead of the group to take a shot and since
i didn't come here more often i took a quick VR along the street near
St.Michael's Catholic Church.
UMM AL QUAIN SIDE TRIP
We stop to stretch our legs, check our maps and to have a quick group shot
before proceeding to industrial area (were church is located).
Industrial Area
This is our second stop...again to check the map and this time to buy food.
Again, i took a quick snaps & 2 Vr shots (along the road and grocery store).
I remember when bro. allen mistakenly open our car twice...
and we are laughing because his car and mine are same color.(happy moments...!)

RAS AL KHAIMAH SIDE TRIP
Mosque at Ras Al Khaimah
We are almost 1 hour on the road to RAK ...and still (happy) i am a passenger.
We stop and a have a quick review on our map... and me...i rush again with my
camera to shoot a small mosque. (the name - i don't know this time...to update later).
FUJAIRAH SIDE TRIP
This is a long trip and side trips a lot...hehehe!
Masafi Friday Market (along Dubai-Fujairah Road)
JABEL MASAFI CAFTERIA (yes... i know i spell it wrong....but that's the name of the store)
12:00 noon. We stop on the mountainous part of Masafi...but this time we are looking for
toilet (you know what i mean!)...but before that i took 1 VR shot when my coleagues stretching
their body at jabel masafi cafteria....(yes i know wrong spelling...).
FRUIT MARKET
"Mais, mais, mais....kabayan, mais?" this are the vendor shouting on us...
(mais is a tagalog word for a Corn (English)).Aside from steamed & charcoaled corn,
they are selling banana, water melon, melon, mango, apple mango, grapes (green & red), atis, chico, dragon fruit(from china).... and also vegetables like carrots, eggplant, cucumber,lettuce, squash, ginger, onion (white & red) and camote.
I went inside of one of the store and took a quick VR.
CARPET MARKET
Colors are attractive when we stop here at carpet market. When i started to shoot...afghan guy
walks towards to me and when i rotate my camera to finish my VR he's already near his office.
NURSERY
All of us are cooling ourself inside the Nursery Store (Plants & Trees Store), the place are
covered with plants, trees and flowers....i direct my friends to stop and keep their poses for
1 minute...and i shoot my 3rd VR.

From Umm Al Quain to Ras Al Khaimah it took us
almost 2 hours

to reach our next station.

ST.MARTIN DE PADUA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH - RAS AL KHAIMAH
People (local & expats), buildings (modern & traditional),
walking & running animals on the road (camels, donkey & goats),
road signs & signals, round-abouts, mosque, old & new advertisements,
an airplane at the resort,ghost town, fast & slow cars, cargo trucks,
a big ble diamond, a pyramid hotel, purple grocery in the middle
of dessert, old towers, an ice land...this are the things i captured
during our trip to RAK.
It is almost 10:30 am and the sun is so hot...we park our car
beside Kerala Market near old cemetery, we march on a rough road
leading to the church with cover on our face (grabe ang init uuyyy!).
Church is a white villa named as St.Martin de Padua Catholic Church,
bounded by concrete fence with a tent shade attached to the front
wall of the church. This time parishioners are keep coming and filling
up the small church compound.But i doesn't stop us to go inside the church...
Inch by inch we reach the church side fence and start to pray our
3 station of the cross.
Before the prayer, i started to shoot and one of my VR is very interesting...
people are solemnly praying while their chidrens are busy playing infront
of the closed church main entrance door and you will notice shoes and sandals
are left outside the church (like in islam tradition).
We finish 3 stations and rush to our cars (ang ineett!) to the next
emirate....FUJAIRAH...(pinaka malayo ito...)

Fifth Station: Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry his cross
Sixth Station: Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
Seventh Station: Jesus falls the second time
2 sedan and 2 4x4 vehicles bound to Umm Al Quain...but this time i'm not
on the drivers seat...my wife!...at last i can take a few shots along the way.
We stop for a while to stretch, to have a group picture, to check
our google map..(most of us a are first timer) and to buy snacks in the middle of
Umm Al Quain's Industiral Area.
A few blocks more and we reach Our Lady of Arabia Church...it is located in
the middle of of Industrial Area... church is inside warehouse bldg., main door
are two metal sliding doors, walls are concrete and metal and a big foyer
upon entering the bldg.leading to the church.
We finish 3 stations and have a group picture and proceed to next
emirates....RAS AL KHAIMAH...(layo nito...)

Aside from prayers personal intentions...
my other religious objective is to record and
photograph all UAE Catholic Churches.
All VR Images are taken manually (handheld)
without using any VR gears...tripod or stabilizers
in order to move & shoot fast during prayers.
Sorry for some blurry parts.
